Between desert and sea!
After a little over two months and 10,000 kilometers, we arrived back in Swakopmund on November 22nd, 2023, in the late afternoon. Behind us was an eventful tour through northern Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa. This tour will also be unforgettable because we returned to Swakopmund with a kitten on board. (Orapa has had his first veterinary visit – with the best results).
After three «illegal» border crossings and at a new and unknown place almost every day, he is now settling in in our house in Swakopmund. Now he will have to share the house and garden with Glöggli. We picked her up a few days ago at Gecko Ridge Lodge, where she has spent the last eight months.
We are wondering to see how the two cats get along. To be on the safe side, we have already read everything about the topic of «cat reunification». But there will probably be a few more surprises to come and I will certainly have no shortage of material for further posts.
