Welcome home !
On September 4th, 2024, after a 24-hour journey, we put our house into operation in Swakopmund. We were pleasantly surprised that the inside of the house looked almost the same as when we left it. It was worth it that Brigitta sealed the windows and doors so well that neither sand nor dust found its way into the house!
The first few days we got the house and garden in shape. Now the garden seating area looks nice again. In contrast to Switzerland, the days are getting longer and warmer here. That’s a good thing, because when we look at the thermometer on the terrace in the morning, it shows 14° C. By the time we have breakfast, however, the temperature has already risen to almost 20° C. With a sweater you can eat outside and listen to the birds at the morning concert. The weaver bird is busy building nests and attracts the females with seven artfully made nests.
We are about to leave our nest again. Tomorrow, we start our tour, which will take us through South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and back to Namibia. We will be traveling for around two months. We’re looking forward to that. And you can read about it here!
