The Republic of Zambia in Southern Africa is a landlocked country with a population of 14.5. Mio. (2013) and an area of 752’618 km2 (290,587 sq mi) neighbouring the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the north, Tanzania to the north-east, Malawi to the east, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia to the south, and Angola to the west. The capital city is Lusaka, in the south-central part of Zambia.
