Since we are in Veracruz, we feel like we’re in Italy. This is not least because we mainly enjoy Italian cuisine here. Already on the first day we were struck by a red-green neon sign in the side street that announced the Pizzeria Dal Moro.

On the first evening we paid a visit to the Pizzeria, which is only a few steps away from our Airbnb. A pizzaiolo was standing behind a counter making pizza dough. «¿Es Pizza para llevar?» Brigitta asked him because at first glance it looked like that. «No, no» replied Massimo, the pizzaiolo who turned out to be the owner. He asked us to enter through a narrow door.

Now we were in a room with a few tables that were covered with blue and white and red and white checked tablecloths. We immediately felt at home. Since that first evening, we enjoy Italian cuisine: Pizza, Pasta, Carpaccio, Polenta and a fresh salad. With it a glass of red wine or a beer. Viva Italia!

PS. Yesterday, after an offered espresso, Massimo and Julia, his wife, invited us to the «Fiesta Mojito». Why Mojito? «Porque nuestro ayudante de cocina es de Cuba». And tonight, there is this fiesta. Viva Cuba!
