Where exactly does the ball land?
Luckily, we only found out afterwards how long it takes to complete the 18-hole panoramic golf course. Otherwise, we would probably have reconsidered! And luckily, we were warned by friends not to tackle this course without an electric golf cart – we would probably have stretched our legs halfway through…
The conditions on May 14, 2024 were perfect for tackling our first 18-hole course. The weather couldn’t have been nicer when we got into the golf cart at the clubhouse and threw our resolution of always playing golf on foot overboard. As a 4×4, Ferrari and convertible driver, it was no problem for me to get to grips with the electrically powered cart. The only thing that took some getting used to at the beginning was switching on the forward and reverse gears.
We turned to tee number 1. Off we went. On tee number 2, the ball flew into the woods instead of the fairway. On tee number 5, the ball flew in an elegant arc into the tall grass, making it untraceable. On tee number 7 the ball flopped into the pond to the horror of frogs and ducks. By the No. 11 tee we had lost six balls. We skipped tee number 17 and after more than four and a half hours we arrived at tee number 18, exhausted but happy, where we used our last reserve ball…
