JOY PREVAILS!

Our book is signed!

In Kandersteg there is not only a tennis court, an artificial ice rink, a Nordic center with ski jumps, a large network of hiking trails, over 100 kilometers of cross-country ski trails in winter, but also the House of Museums.

There was an event there a few days ago. Former Federal Councilor Adolf Ogi – known as Dölf in Kandersteg – was invited as a prominent guest. That was reason enough for us to pay a visit to this museum, which we had repeatedly postponed. The exhibition was surprisingly well done; but Adolf Ogi crowned the evening with his speech. It was a pleasure to listen to him; and I guess we weren’t the only ones wishing we had a man like him in the Federal Councilor today! (I am not a SVP voter; but I would vote for Adolf Ogi todday. Various books by and about Adolf Ogi were available that evening. We bought one of them, in which he describes his favorite hikes in the Gasterental. We had Adolf Ogi sign it and gave him our book «Around the World in 2,573 Days» as a thank you.

PS. If you want to know more about Dölf Ogi and his foundation, you can read here.
