I am often asked why, at almost 80 years old, I look so much younger. I don’t think so, because I see wrinkles where I didn’t see any before. It also pinches here and there! And my stomach was already smaller!

The younger appearance probably has something to do with the fact that I have a partner who is a lot younger. My job certainly also contributed positively. There is a difference whether you are employed as a bean counter at the tax office or in the military department. Or whether you work in advertising and exchange ideas with copywriters, illustrators and photographers every day. As an advertiser, you also (mostly) deal with interesting people on the customer side. (Peter Wuffli, partner of McKinsey, CEO of UBS and current CEO of the elea foundation is a good example of this!)

Be that as it may, a few days ago at the Swakop Indie Music Festival I felt rather old among all the young people! But since grandparents and their grandchildren were also present, I didn’t feel too out of place. However, I left the dancing to the groovy music to those who not only look younger but are younger too.
