JUST DELICIOUS: ROOIBOS TEA!

Extraordinary Tea in an extraordinary Packaging

I’m one of those folks who only drinks tea when I’m sick. Or when I’m invited to English people for afternoon tea and I don’t want to be rude. Otherwise, I’m a coffee drinker; preferably a strong espresso or, by ten o’clock in the morning at the latest, a cappuccino.

In southern Africa, however, I mutate into a tea drinker. Not a day goes by that I don’t drink a cup of tea. However, it is not a tea from the Malay highlands. (We were there many years ago!) Or from Darjeeling, in India. (Yes, we were there too on our trip around the world!) No, when I drink tea, it’s only the delicious and healthy Rooibos, which isn’t grown in India or Malaysia but in South Africa.

The tea is even better when it comes in beautiful packaging. Like the ones we saw at Super SPAR in Windhoek a few months ago. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find it anymore. Until a few days ago I had the idea of writing to Otto Alfeld, manager of the Maerua Superspar, in Windhoek and asking him if he could get us some of this tea tins.

My request was successful. Today, ten cans of Rooibos tea have been delivered to Swakopmund. HOORAY!
