Buggy-Tour
What a surprise when we looked out the window on September 19th, 2024. Thick fog from which it dripped. Much to the delight of Marius, the owner of this farm, who is waiting for rain. And if it drips out of the fog then all the better!
We had breakfast at the lodge and then updated the posts from the last few days so that we were up to date on our homepage. After three hours we had finished the job and in the meantime the sun had burned away the fog and the sky was bright blue. Marius was ready with his buggy and with another couple from Windhoek we set off on the trip around the farm. Since goats and sheep no longer graze here, nature has recovered.
What we saw that afternoon was unique. Marius seemed to know every plant and every bush. We kept getting off the buggy to look at flowers and plants up closely. It was an afternoon that botanists would have envied. At the main camp in the canyon, we turned around and drove quickly back to the farm. It was an unforgettable afternoon!
