Mexico – Yucatan

Yucatan, is a peninsula of North America that separates the Gulf of Mexico from the Caribbean Sea. The northern part belongs politically to Mexico, the south to Guatemala and Belize.

The climate is tropical and hot and dry to the north. Except for a few hills in the south, the area is very flat. In the limestone soil often water-filled burglaries (cenotes) are found, which provide access to the groundwater, They have already been used by the Mayans as a water source. (Source: Wikipedia)
