THE KING NEHALE TOUR

On the road again!

After being settled for some time, it’s time to take a trip. Our car is also waiting for it, standing in the garage after an oil change. The number 477,407 km can be read on his speedometer! It’s high time our travel vehicle got some exercise again!

We planned the King Nehale Tour, as we called it, a few weeks ago. It will last over three weeks and will take us south after a trip to the northern part of the Etosha National Park. In the south, grapes and dates have been grown along the Oranje River which forms the border with South Africa. And of course, there is Oranjemund, where diamonds are mined. So, there is a lot to see on this tour.

The rainy season has now begun in Namibia, which the nation was longing for after several years of drought. Without rain there is no water to supply the reservoirs on which the country and the people depend. The farmers also need the rain, which has fallen particularly in the north of the country. We heard from friends returning from there that the Etosha presented itself in a green dress. Etosha National Park and King Nehale Lodge are our first destination after spending a night in Tsumeb.

We are looking forward to this tour, which starts on February 19th, 2025, and are excited to see what we experience…
