When our bucket list tour in Mexico came to an end due to Covid at the end of 2021 and we shipped to Namibia, we didn’t know what we were going to do next. The only thing that was certain was that we would keep our travel vehicle. But we didn’t want to live in there permanently – we had done that on our travels for over ten years.
So, we looked for somewhere to live in Namibia. In Swakopmund we found what we were looking for: a townhouse, a lock and go with a garden seating area and a guest room. A home that will allow us to continue traveling in southern Africa in the future. And we can leave the apartment empty for a few months without any problems when we spend the summer in Switzerland.
We also chose Swakopmund as a location because we knew that there is not only fresh fish, a beautiful golf course but also a lively cultural life. For example, lectures and musical events such as the Swakopmund Music Week. We were thrilled with what was offered to us a few days ago! (The entry price of NAM$ 100.- (CHF 5.-) per person was in no relation to what was on offer – but the prices in Swakopmund are different than in the Tonhalle in Zurich!)
