The early morning has its charm!
Monday mornings aren’t necessarily the most popular day for working people. I don’t know this from experience, as I worked in advertising and (mostly) enjoyed what I did. But that’s true for very few. (Imagine if I had to work for Credit Suisse and their top crooks for the last ten years!)
Since we moved to Rössmund, next to the golf course, we’ve been playing golf twice a week. The first time is on Monday morning, at 8 am, for the first nine holes. The second time is on Friday morning, also at 8 am,for holes 10 to 18. Andre, a neighbour who has been playing golf for many years, joins us. The round of golf always takes more than two hours; and that’s enough for us.
Golf is especially enjoyable when you’re on foot. Just like the springboks that populate the course and delight us with their long jumps. (I’m glad no one asks me about my handicap. It hasn’t gotten much better yet; but I’m having more fun playing golf the longer I play! And that’s what matters!)
