The title almost sounds as if we were camping at a lake in Switzerland. However, we don’t. And there wouldn’t have been as few campers in Switzerland as there were yesterday. We were only two campers on the farm of Melissa and Johannes and their four (!) children, who are also taught by their parents.

As so often, Brigitta discovered this place in the iOverlander yesterday. The entries were so convincing that we decided to spend the night there. A good decision, because we stood under huge, old poplar trees right on the lake. It couldn’t be more beautiful! For dinner I wanted spaghetti with Gorgonzola sauce; and Brigitta fulfilled my wish. A good wine accompanied the delicious meal. For dessert there were brownies, an espresso and two shots of Irish whisky. What more could you want?

This morning Brigitta made the reservations for the Kruger Parc. That wasn’t easy, as some of the camps are fully booked for weeks! We adjusted our plans so that we would have different camps to stay overnight for four nights. We decided to drive to Barberton, which is only fifty kilometers from the entrance to Kruger. We’ll tackle them early tomorrow morning. Kruger – here we come!
