It was high time that the four of us siblings saw each other again. We are all now at an age where it is no longer a given that we can meet.

There was a nice and central place for the meeting: the home of my brother and his wife. Others live well too; but from where can you see over the Mittelland and the Swiss Alps? And in front of which house is a mighty linden tree that is over two hundred years old, under whose sprawling branches you can sit and dine? It was exactly the right location for the occasion to reminisce about childhood and other memories.

An excellent meal – served by a renowned caterer – and delicious wines topped off this day. Was there anything else? Of course: the fine cigars!
