On September 17th, 2020 we landed in Zurich-Kloten during the afternoon. The first thing we noticed was how empty the otherwise busy airport was. It was also noticeable how many SWISS planes were parked on the ground – this is not an easy time for the aviation industry …

How nice to meet friends who greeted us with a big hug in the arrival hall! Ursula and Karl drove us to their house in Weiningen, which is situated next to a vineyard. And they will make this available to us for living for the next two weeks. Two days later they said goodbye and drove with their VW bus to Elba to go diving and surfing for two weeks. Happy holidays, dear friends!

Now we have the jet lag behind us and settled well in the house. Yesterday I also started my walking laps. They lead me through the vineyards of Weiningen, which are full of grapes that are currently being harvested.

PS. I am considering helping for half a day with the «Wümmet» (Zurich-German for wine harvest). However, I wonder if it works out well when I hold pruning shears in my hand …
