Brazil: Pantanal

The South American Pantanal (Portuguese for swamp) is one of the largest inland wetlands of the earth with approximately 230,000 km² and is located in the middle southwest of Brazil. It is on average only just under 95 m above sea level. The species-rich wetland biotope is under nature protection and belongs since the year 2000 to the world heritage of the UNESCO. (Source: Wikipedia)
